Because I like telling stories too, I thought my first real post would be about Woodrow Wilson "Woody" Guthrie, one of the pioneers of American folk music.
Guthrie travelled from Oklahoma to California with migrant workers in the 1930's while building a legacy with his merry music making.
With his acoustic strapped to his shoulder bearing the slogan, "This Machine Kills Fascists," Guthrie roamed the US west during the Great Depression. A Dust Bowl lyrical deity to some, Woody's main claim to fame is his song "This Land is your Land".
Crazy Communist. This land is my land.
He paved the way for musicians like Ramblin' Jack Elliot and the great Bob Dylan.
To learn more about this bad ass, google him, because google is a pretty good website.
Better yet, let me google that for you.
